David Tan

Head of Commercial Channels and Distribution, Asia Pacific and Japan - HP

David Tan is Head of Commercial Channels and Distribution Sales for HP in Asia Pacific and Japan. He is responsible for driving HP’s strategy for commercial channels and distribution to support HP business initiatives, as well as grow partner profitability and loyalty.  

David has held various management positions over his past 16 years in Hewlett-Packard, with experience spanning marketing, category management and sales for both personal and printing systems.

With a proven track record in country and regional roles, David is a results-oriented, decisive leader, with proven success in establishing HP’s presence in mature and developing markets.

Prior to his current role, David was Consumer Sales Director, overseeing the entire HP Printing Consumer go-to-market team for Asia Pacific and Japan. Before this, he was Category Director, managing the HP Personal Systems team for South East Asia, Taiwan and Korea. He also has deep experience in the Singapore market, helping to establish HP’s foothold in the country’s personal systems category.

David has an Executive MBA from the University of Helsinki and holds various post graduate disciplines in Business Management, Economics and Marketing. When he is not at work, David likes to read and bring his family to explore the world.

 He is based in Singapore.
